New Escape Room opens in Reading

Locked in a room with only sixty minutes to get back out – enjoy some team-building and brain-busting fun as Reading gets its first permanent escape room.

Escape Reading – which opened on 27 June – is giving local residents the chance to test their puzzle-solving and collaboration skills in two special physical adventure games near Reading town centre.

An escape room is a physical adventure game for friends, family or work colleagues where small teams are locked in a room and have to find clues and sole puzzles to escape within a certain time limit.

There are two different experiences on offer at Escape Reading: The Library where 2-5 players discover a secret library and have an hour to find their way; and The Bank Robbery for 3-6 players where you and your team have been framed for a heist and you have sixty minutes to find enough evidence to prove your innocence otherwise you will be locked in.

Tamas Salti from Escape Reading said: “This venue is build up to be challenging where people have to use they knowledge, imagination and creativity on fairly higher level in order to solve the puzzles and find the clues. It’s a truly different experience where teamwork is essential, so it is perfect for groups of friends, families, corporate teams and of course geeks and game fanatics.”

Escape Reading is located on Audley Street in Reading. Visit their website for more information.
