Palm Honey release brand new video ahead of hometown show

Just off the back of a tour supporting Sundara Karma that saw fevered responses across the country, Reading’s very own, Palm Honey have now released a video for the incendiary, ‘Stick the Knife In’.

The video sees the artwork of the single come to life; shapes shift and dart across the screen in sync to the furious build up of the music. Stylized by only three colours, the video makes a bold impact, the hypnotic visuals drawing you in, with the tension of the song bringing you in further. The video is the perfect complement to Palm Honey’s rich tones and irresistibly danceable grooves.

Artist and Director, Nathan David Smith, was enlisted to help bring the music video to fruition. On the project, Nathan says: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Palm Honey. I was really drawn to the grittiness and tension of Stick the Knife In; we really discovered a shared creative vision across elements of my own artistic practice that I’ve been able to revisit in this video, exploring motifs of repetition/motion/distortion, building to a big warped and fucked up crescendo.”

You’re sure to see the likes of ‘Stick the Knife In’ performed at their highly anticipated upcoming hometown show. Last time they performed at Purple Turtle it was a packed out room that saw dancing, hypnotic grooves and wild experimentation. One thing Palm Honey manage to do well live, is always bring something new to the table with each performance. Whether you’ve seen them a hundred times, or you are brand new to the band, get down to the show; you’ll never see the band play the same set twice!

Palm Honey play Purple Turtle on 31st March. It’s Free!
